An ancient vineyard in need of love and care, planted in 1923 by one of the founding families of the world-famous Barossa region, inspired Welland to be born. Wines with character, personality, and a story to tell!   Welland is a Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon specialist, varietals that thrive in Barossa and that people love to drink.

Our winemaking philosophy is simple — make wines we like to drink, and work with varieties that are suited to the Barossa. Rich, Generous, Balanced and Longevity are words that characterise the Welland style — flavoursome wines that are enjoyable and approachable in their youth, retain balance, and will reward cellaring.

The wines have been awarded by wine judges and critics both domestically and internationally.
